What an AMAZING day! The flowers, the food, the venue, and the weather all contributed to Sam & Lisa’s perfect wedding day.
From Lisa: Sam and I knew we wanted to get married near his family’s cottage in Stockbridge. Sam’s family has been going to the Berkshires over the summer for generations, and I grew up in Massachusetts, so it is a very special place for both our families. Some of our favorites times together when we were dating were visiting his family in the Berkshires-hiking, eating and touring the old mansions in the area. As soon as we toured The Mount we knew it was the right spot for us–we loved the idea of hosting all our family and friends in such a beautiful, grand house that also felt intimate and cozy.
We ended up with perfect sunny weather and beautiful foliage, which is not a guarantee in mid-October in the Berkshires!
Our favorite moments were walking the grounds with Eric while taking pictures, our puppy barking when she saw me coming down the aisle, signing the ketubah with our closest friends and family, seeing our friends and family arrive at The Mount, coming down to join the party after we took a few moments together after the ceremony, and then dancing for hours! Our guests really brought their a-game. Also, finding Sam on the dance floor with an entire pint of ice cream that our caterer had kindly reserved for him.

A Berkshire Wedding at Gedney Farm
Kristen & Ron had an amazing wedding weekend here in the Berkshires a few weeks ago at Gedney Farm in New Marlborough MA. Gedney Farm is an ideal destination for a Berkshire wedding weekend. Located in the “Old Berkshire” village of New Marlborough, Gedney Farm is a complex of spectacular period architecture with gambrel slate and cedar roofs, and beautifully detailed dormers and cupolas. The property is comprised of two Normandy-style barns and surrounded by 37 acres of pastures and high open meadows.
And a sparkler send off. Congratulations again Kristen & Ron, you’re the best!!!
A Summer Wedding at Chesterwood
Becca and Robby had an amazing wedding at Chesterwood here in the Berkshires last summer. They had me come in and shoot a couple hours of their rehearsal dinner at The Norman Rockwell Museum the night before, and it was amazing! They had their ceremony right down the road from me at her grandparents home, under the same apple tree that her mom and dad were married under! After the ceremony, we all moved down the road to Chesterwood, with cocktails in the lawn and the reception under a sweet tent by Classical Tents. Chesterwood is a beautiful and memorable backdrop for a Berkshires wedding or other special event. Daniel Chester French masterfully combined the elegance of his formal Italianate gardens with the natural rural landscape, creating unique settings and locations for wedding ceremonies, receptions, and dinner parties from small, intimate gatherings to events with up to 500 guests.
